Allen’s sound-design credits include Lamplighter Theatre and Focus on the Family’s Adventures in Odyssey. His broader audio work includes Affabel and The Extraordinary Adventures of G. A. Henty. These productions call for attention to the details that make a world believable: dialogue, atmosphere, Foley, effects, and how those elements work with the music.

Inside the recording session

Allen has repeatedly engineered audio-drama sessions at Salami Studios in North Hollywood, Soundworks in Burbank, and The Soundhouse in London, as well as Disney Imagineering recording studios in the early 2000s. Working alongside accomplished actors, producers, and directors has reinforced the value of attentive session engineering: capturing the performance clearly while supporting the director’s process and the actors’ concentration.

A collaborative approach

In visual storytelling, he brings that same care to performance, pacing, and emotion. Commercials and interview-led films begin with the people you want to reach and the response you hope to encourage. Directing, lighting, editing, and sound then become choices in service of that purpose, rather than a list of techniques.

The Audio Suite is led by Allen, with experienced writers, performers, and other production collaborators assembled as projects require. You work directly with him on the creative approach and agreed scope, whether the assignment calls for a complete production or a contribution alongside your existing team.

Allen also oversees audio, video, and lighting at Airborne Church in Martinsburg, West Virginia. That ongoing technology and media work connects his production experience to how finished content is seen and heard in a real setting.
